API families who proudly support their LGBT children / relatives / friends
in spite of the prejudice they encounter.
Each year since 2004, API Family Pride organizes its Family Presentation Day to honor persons who have supported API LGBTs throughout their journey of self-discovery and coming out and so allow them to be who they are. Such support often occurs in the face of deep-rooted homophobia. Family Presentation Day recognizes this private courage of public support.

API Family Pride's Family Honor Roll is a way of acknowledging the process that our families have undergone to overcome homophobia and understand and accept us as we are. This is a time to commend the private, personal struggles of love and transformation in our individual families with public acknowledgement from us, their children and a grateful community.
